Rather than going out and spending 30-40 bucks on new bulbs... solely as a diagnosis... 
I went to turn one bank of tri-T8's on over one of the tanks and no light... Do ya think it's POSSIBLE that all three bulbs trashed on the same day or is it a ballast problem... AND.. before investing 30-40 for a ballast, does anyone know how to test the viability of an existing ballast?  Bill
