Whats new in the angelfish world??? Glitter & snakeskin trait

I'm not sure many of you keep up with angelfish world or not. So, I'm here to share few pics and show you how it looks. I have only one fish that has the glitter trait that I got from lee gordan. Its very hard to get a good shot of it but its very pretty.

I think the best way to show this would be with a short video. Or take several rapid pictures and make an animated GIF to show off the effect.

Couple tips:
1. Clean inside and outside aquarium glass thoroughly.
2.Turn off all lights in the room except the aquarium lights for the tank you are taking pics in. if it's day time try to black out windows as much as you can.
3. If your camera has a macro setting for close ups use it.
4. Turn off the flash
5. Hold the lens against the outside glass. This does a couple things: it steadies you and you get finer detail.
6. If your camera has manual setting use them instead of automatic so you can get faster shutter speed and adjust light setting and white balance.
7. Experiment using different angles while holding lens up to the glass to see what provides best lighting effects and detail.
8. Take a lot of pics and keep only the ones that turned out superior and try to remember what you did differently to get the shot you were hoping for. Even the most active fish you can eventually get a clear shot, just be patient.
Oh, and most importantly don't chase the fish you want by moving the camera. Remember the patient part. Hold the lens still on the glass and wait until the fish comes to you.

Thank you for that!! It's a very difficult task as most fish are either shy or very nosey! Using a macro lens or filter is really the only way to pull off those great detailed close ups!

I couldn't get my vote to work,...duh...thus the post! Yes, ABSOLUTELY!! Everything we learn about Angelfish is fascinating to my son and I, so the more info that people are willing to share is of Great interest and importance to us!! We have learned a lot from our reading, both online and books & magazines. We have also learned a lot from members who kindly share their experiences and knowledge but the most fun we have had in learning about these amazing fish has been through observation of them. Their behavior, their beauty...remarkable. Their personalities, their grace and their social networking set these fish apart from all others.

It's actually snakeskin with glitter . There is no end to learning about aquatic creatures.
