Honduran Red Point fry
My pair of Hondurans had babies then the male killed the female so I rehomed him.About 30 fry survived and have been growing slowly. There is an issue with them though. The gill plates did not grow completely so these are not and will never be sellable.I have no way of knowing if the issue is genetic(parents were siblings) or environmental/nutritional.water tested perfect but I did nothing special for feeding. They are otherwise fine eating and acting normal...its just the lower section of the gills are visible. This may fill in over time or it may not.It may or may not replicate in future generations.I need to get them out of the tank and if none are claimed they will be going to LFS to be used as live food which makes me sad but I do not have the room or time to dedicate to them.Getting them out will mean breaking the tank apart completely as it is heavily planted so would prefer someone taking them all at once but can work on getting them out a few at a time if someone just wants a few.

Joe.. I've a 29G set up and cycled that's empty.. and another 29 that could be set up if you just want foster care to see if the gill-plates grow in. I've also got the three grades of fry food from Kens so feeding wouldn't be an issue. Bill
