Hi everyone!!

I am so excited there is a forum for local folks here in Virginia and specifically Richmond metro area! I have a 55 gal with 6 African Cichlids including 1 bumblebee, 1 acei, 1 kenyi, 2 yellow labs, and 1 Auratus. I started adding fish to my cycled tank about 4 months ago and everyone is doing great! I hope to add more fish soon but I need more hiding places for the fish first.

I used to have a 55 gallon about 8 years ago with assorted community fish but I moved so often it was hard to continue the hobby. Glad to be back into the hobby. They make me so happy!!  Very Happy

Glad to have you in the forums Smile. I love lake Tanganyikan cichlids. I only know of haps from the Africans side and peacocks.

Thanks!! I think lake Tanganyikan cichlids are so pretty! I am contemplating whether or not to do another tank with those or to bite the bullet and get a salt water tank. I want to have this one up and running for at least a year before I do anything else. Look forward to the next meeting  Smile

Welcome to the forum. BTW you fish are mbuna(rock-dwelling cichlids) from Lake Malawi.
