Celestial pearl Danios

Just got some celestial pearl Danios . They are small but very active and awesome. Anyone has any experience with them? O.o Anything is appreciated .

They adapt well to many types of water parameters but ive had no luck in keeping them with larger community fish. They are very skittish and don't compete well during feeding time. I would only suggest keeping them with small fish if any. I also recommend a grouping of at least ten to keep them happy.

I got 8 and they are pretty good so far. Finally put them in the tank I wanted to keep them in. They are doing okay just getting used to their new environment.

I have had some for a while now and as long as you feed small foods and keep feeding aggression to a minimum then all should be okay. They do great in a small tank made for themselves, or with tankmates that will not out compete them for food. If you give them some small 'dither' fish that stay out, it will help them feel more comfortable being in the open, but they are still a very shy fish. Oh and FYI, put a top on your tank if you do not have one already, I started with 10 maybe, and I am down to 4 now due to mostly jumpers. I have mine with some Green Emerald Rasboras and they mix great!

hmmm.....well they are in my 20 long planted tank and the biggest fish I have there is Siamese algae eater and GBR. Also have some random cory cats that will be moved to a 40 gallon tank soon . I always keep my tanks covered because I don't like it when the water evaporates too fast.

frozen cyclops-eeze is a good treat for them, perfect for their mouth size

a GREAT SMALL frozen food you get from the aquarium store. It is just another salt water mini creature that they culture for food, but it is REALLY tiny, great for small mouths. You can also sometimes find freeze dried food in a can, but either way.

Cool! I will look for them next time I go to a pet store .
