Discus are shy and reticent fish?

Post  williemcd on Sun Jan 20, 2013 4:49 am

I've a friend in Florida that has photo's of her stroking her discus. What with the commonly held belief that Discus are shy... require encasement in a very low traffic environment and prefer low lighting to ensure a level of comfort....I'm posting this pics to say....B. S. ...
P.s. This is my hand within the tank and I've only been working with them for 3 days...

Yours are certainly NOT shy! They were coming up to greet us when I was there. I think they might be social extroverts!! LOL
