Hello from Va Beach!
Hey All!
Joined a while ago and thought it was about time I said hello and introduced myself. My names Jay, Grew Up in Richmond. Went to Benedictine and I've been in the hobby since the 80's when I worked for a pet store in Stoney Point area back then. Have been hooked ever since. I had salt tanks back then. Gravitated to larger new world and angels. I'v Dabbled in Africans but not in a long time. Moved to the beach in the late 90's and continued in the hobby but only casually(Small Community tank). Then a few years ago after my wife and I purchased a new home with a very open floor plan. Which was perfect for a tankaholic like myself did I get serious..ly addicted again. Wanting a real challenge. I decided to focus on part of the hobby I'd never gave much thought to and had zero knowledge of. A fully planted build to see how green my aquatic thumb was. Well, I got my challenge alright! I figured out which end of the plant actually got planted and started learning to crawl. Now, two years later I have a 75g high tech, Med light w/pressurized Co2 fully planted. which is about to get upgraded to a 125g. A 40g low tech med light community/Cherry shrimp tank and a planted 8 gal CRS/CBS nano tank. I still see myself as a newbie to the planted tank world but learning every day! Here's a link to some pics. I look forward to getting to know everyone.
