Jewel Fish and Gourami coming in!

Any idea what type of gourami? Can't take any jewel cichlids. But I might be able to put you in touch with someone who can take the gouramies off your hands.

As in a far to many C/L exchanges, they at times fall flat... About 2:00 this afternoon, I was contacted via cell, about our rescue operations and their need to rehome the two fishes... At that time, I was informed that he'd finalize the transfer once he got off work and returned home... I've not conceeded it a blow-out, but I'm also not "betting the ranch" on it occurring... I'll keep all posted!  (AND I busted butt to get a 29 set up for a temp homing!)  Bill

I may be able to take the jewel, Bill. Depending on the gender. Since jewels come from both central and south america, they can typically get along well with either species of cichlid. My son has a really sweet little gal in our central american tank. Like with most fish, as you are well aware, it varies. They generally have friendly dispositions, so would have to be with lesser aggressive fish on either spectrum. You can put them with angels, again, depending. Of course, many come from the same regions.
We have the more aggressive african mbunas. But you know I have the overstocked jeuvenile, hopefully, all male tank. So, theoretically atleast, if it's a male it could work out. I wouldn't wanta add a female as they are known to occasionally cross breed. I will most likely move her once I get my 60 set up. I have to do some further research before deciding if she would fare best in my primary angel tank, left with the centrals or among the med size haps. Anyway, let me know and if the gender is unknown, I will try to help with that, whether I take it or not.
Incidentally, I am looking to trade some of my angels, if you know any interested angel folk..lol Possibly even rehome a couple...depending. The testosterone level is way too high at the moment.    These fellas need some ladies...holy smokes these bad boys are gonna be rocking some aquariums whenever I do add some lovely ladies!   
Omg... I keep realizing...this REALLY IS an addiction, huh?! There's never enough aquariums, or a big enough one, or enough fish.... good grief what the heck have I gotten myself into??
