Nope, t'weren't methane.

I'd really be surprised if anybody could get PFS <2.5" deep to do that. Anybody had their fertilized PFS stink up?

i actually didn't know about the dirt until it was too late. So.. i am now adding Nutrifin plant gro.
It's supposed to be added once a week. Is this something that could possibly harm my angels?

On any fert I usually half dose if I use them at all. I will use Flourish Excel once a month.

Scotts and timberline are the best IMO. Timberline releases more tannins so is better for a soft water tank.

Wish I'd seen this before I just went to walmart. they must have the cheapest soil available. maybe the dollar store.

I picked up a few buckets, quilt batting, some plastic mesh (thinking about a moss wall), and a new sponge.

I'd love to have black sand over some soil...or did you find out anymore about pure white?

I'm planning to use quartz for my hardscape.
