Group Buy.

Post  williemcd on Wed Apr 10, 2013 11:12 am

Avail are 18 silver dollar sized Discus @ 12.00 each in volume (dozen). I'm buying 6, anyone want in? The are from the same parents of the group I bought last year and lost over Christmas when out of town and a circuit tripped. Cross of a Solid Fire Red and a Blue Turq. Pics of 2 of last years batch included with this years batch. Of last years batch, there are 8 avail at 30.00 each.

Bill I would want in on 6 if you can get them for 12 and this time don't say no to me. I never had discus before so this is my change . If you say yes I'm going to buy a 55 and set a grow out up tank Smile.

Here are some from the same batch that I lost... I folded to temptation and bought them!
Here are the next generation, avail @ $15.00 each which covers my purchase price and the fuel/toll expense.

I've no idea what "Wait what" means! Besides the 14 juvies, I also picked up 6 adults. Had to pay quite a bit more for them.. Bill

Onik.. I've only 5 left.. I thought you were coming LAST monday!... Plus, I'd prefer to hold onto them until you resolve the issue with the DD's and whatever they're carrying!... Dox lost close to 100 fry from the 1st set of DD's her and I shared and I've lost 20 .....The second group are still swimming erratic and I suspect you've got SOMETHING going awry in one or more of your tanks. These Discus are too hard to come by without ensuring a 110% proper environment. I hope you understand. I still have that pleco awaiting a new home! Bill

I told you I'm coming this monday....Are you talking about the first batch or second batch??? My first batch are still fine as hell as the day saw them. I even kept like 1 random from the second batch and its still doing okay. The only reason I sold them was I got tired of taking care of them nothing more really....and I only gave you about like 28 fries from the second batch so idk how doxie lost 100 DD fries......

I thought you were coming last monday.... I wasn't real clear on the Dox issue. She is hosting the Plats i picked up.. and has had two spawns to date... the first spawn had finally reached sale size but they started dying off soon after she put the 5 dd's in with them. She's subsequently lost all of the Plat fry (over 100), I've lost twenty of the plats I got out of her batch and am now down to 4 of 24. All 5 of Dox's DD's have since expired. We both think it might be a case of Angelfish Virus/AIDS.. Uncureable and toxic for 6 months after all survivors get over it. This same disease is highly toxic to Discus!... Do you have a separate tank for them... that wouldn't be exposed to ANY Angel fish. In the Discus thread on here, on the topic of mixing Angels and Discus I mentioned one of the issues of having them together was a disease that Angels carry and can survive but that Discus can't withstand the exposure.

I bought a separate 55 just for the discus I wasn't planning on mixing discus with the angels. I bought all my angels from Angelplus and I know for a fact they have disease free fish....I usually kept the fries separate after they were free swimming not sure what really happened there
